Thirteen years. Thirteen rooms, each one full of lights.

One Desire is the annual free worship night of The Church of Pentecost, Ottawa District. On September 19, 2026 it filled the thirteenth room: 440 seats at Kailash Mital, Ottawa. This page keeps the lights. This year’s, the ones already waiting for next year, and the rooms before.

The name is the brief. A mass choir, a few guest voices, one room, and one thing on everyone’s mind. The lights make the mark because the people are the mark.

The rooms.

The one we just left, the one we haven’t built, and the ones before it. The lights draw every room at the same scale, so you can see them grow.

He Calls Us His Own.

Kailash Mital Theatre, Carleton University, 440 seats. Doors at five, admission free, and the One Desire Mass Choir shared the stage with Allison LK, Daphne Richardson, King George Acquah and Jesse Delali. The theme was one line from Hebrews. Every light is one of the theatre’s 440 seats.

The room we haven’t built

2027

The fourteenth room. Theme to come.

Theme first, date after, then a building. Light a seat now and it’s already waiting when the doors open. The ones burning are people who’ve said they’re coming.

Healer.

Meridian Theatre at Centrepointe, 220 seats. King George Acquah was the guest voice, with the Mass Choir hosting. Every frame in the 2026 teaser was cut from this room. Drawn at the same scale as this year’s room, it’s half the size. That’s the point of drawing it.

Thirteen years of rooms.

The rooms drawn above are the ones we have the details for. The dark ones are dark only because the archive hasn’t been gathered yet: a theme, a venue, a seat count, a photograph. If you were in one of them, you can turn its light on.

“Healer.” The 2025 theme, at the Meridian.

Each year adds its word. The rooms still waiting for theirs get them when the archive turns up their themes.

Every seat, one light.

Lit seats carry a sentence from the person who sat there. Tap one to read it. For the next room a lit seat means something simpler: I’m coming.

2025, Healer: King George Acquah was the guest voice, with The One Desire Mass Choir.

The collective.

The voices on the roster, standing the way they stand: risers, back row first.

The roster is being gathered. Names and portraits appear here as they’re added.

The lights don’t go out.

When the next room gets its theme and its date, the people with a lit seat hear first. If you’d rather just get the email, that works too. If you want the choir in your church or on your campus before then, ask.
